CRAVING | Only two more months..

In exactly two months I will turn 21, YAY! 

I don't know how you feel about this age but to me it feels like a pretty special birthday. I can't really explain why but I guess I associate it with being a 'real adult'.

FASHION | Chanel makes a statement

Showing your new collection to the fashionpeople in Paris a big deal? Yes, but not enough for mister Lagerfeld. After he showed the SS15 collection, Karl and his models started a protest on the runway.

We all know that the king of fashion has an opinion on, well pretty much everything and that he isn't afraid to share his thoughts with the world but this.. This is what I call a statement! 

CRAVING | 4 designer bags

If you know me a little bit, you know that I'm a true bag girl! I just love bags, they are the perfect accessory and you can never have too many in my eyes. 

There are four designer bags that I really really want so I often check Ebay and Vestiaire etc. to see if they got one of my list that is still in a very good condition and that I'm willing to pay to price for -because let's not forget that they would be second hand and so used. 

No luck so far unfortunately.. If you sell any of these, leave a comment or send me an e-mail :)

INSPIRATION | Pearls

Pearls, one of the new trends in the fashion industry. 

Above you can see two of the most talked about pearl jewels from the past months : the Chanel pearl choker and the Dior front/back pearl earrings. 

Pearls are hot among the fashionista's right now. You can use them not only as decoration on yourself but also at home, on your clothes etc. so I've searched for some inspiration for you.

FASHION | Chanel A/W 2014

If you're a bit into fashion, you've probably already seen photos of the Chanel catwalk show which introduced the autumn/winter 2014 collection. 

Chanel always has something special about their decor but this time, Karl Lagerfeld and his team took it to another, even higher level : they transformed the catwalk into a Chanel supermarket! Crazy right? 

I find this such a great, cool idea that I just had to share it with you! (even if you've already seen it)

I'm not pretty sure about the clothes yet. I think I'm a bigger fan of the more sophisticated , classy collections but I'm not going to make my final opinion right now because I think that the clothes will look different in another environment. But the show definitely deserves a huge applause!

WORDS | Sweatpants by Karl Lagerfeld

A new week, a new quote that refers to (an aspect of) my life in one way or another. This time it is a quote from king Karl and I have a few things to say to him : 

I'm sorry mister Lagerfeld (or can I call you Karl?) but I really like sweatpants, definitely when I'm at home and I need to study. I want to be as comfortable as possible. But in a way, I can relate to what you say because during the exam period I have moments that I'm freaking out and feel like I'm losing control over my life. After saying this, I will make you happy and maybe a bit proud of me : tomorrow I have my final exam so after that, I will be wearing more 'normal' clothes again and less sweatpants. I'm not going to say that I'm never going to wear sweatpants at home anymore because then I would be lying to you. Now that I have been so honest, can I ask you, the king of fashion, a question? You've got me really curious.. Don't you ever wear sweatpants? Not even when it has a Chanel logo? 

FASHION | New Chanel face

We've already had actrices like Blake Lively, Keira Knightley and Diane Kruger as face for one of the Chanel collections. New collection means new face. For his new collection, Métiers d'Art Paris-Dallas, Karl chose Kristen Stewart. I don't really know what to think about this choice because I'm not such a fan of Kristen (sorry for the ones who are) and I don't associate her with Chanel.. All I can do is hope that she's more excited about this campaign than her face shows. 

What do you think about Karl's choice? 

FASHION | Thé coolest designerbrand

According to the Coolbrands list, there can only be one brand called as the coolest. And guess which fashion brand is the winner? Chanel! I completely agree : set up in 1909 and since that moment on, the brand only started to grow. It's amazing how many iconic pieces they have : from shoes to jackets, from bags to perfume. 

Is there something Chanel doesn't have?! 

Would Karl, well known for his straight look (black suit and sunglasses) and straight face, be doing a little dance of joy? If he does a little dance, I would love to see it haha ;)

FASHION | Karl Lagerfeld concept store in Antwerp

Big news in the Belgian fashionworld : at the end of October, thé pope of fashion aka Karl Lagerfeld, will open a store in Antwerp! What we will be able to buy? Everything from Karl's own collection : clothes, bags, shoes, books, gadgets, accessoiries,... I can't wait for the store to open and go take a look and maybe even buy something? ;)

Have you ever wondered how Karl Lagerfeld's home would look like? And yes, I'm talking about thé Karl, the man behind Chanel. His house is in Paris, on Rive Gauche. It was recently completely renovated (the renovation took about 2,5 years). When you think about a man of his age, because let's be honest Karl isn't the youngest, you would think about an old-fashioned place but not with KL. I mean, Karl Lagerfeld old-fashioned? This just doesn't make sense, right? His house is very very modern!

While I am writing this post, I'm sitting outside so I couldn't have picked a better moment for sharing this.

FASHION | Met Gala 2013

Last Monday night, May 6 2013, it was time for the Met Gala/Met Ball of 2013. Everybody is always talking about it but what is this gala actually? It is an annual ball that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institue. The red carpet evening is hosted by Vogue magazine, Anna Wintour in this case. It is regarded as an important social event in NYC. 

Every year, the Met Gala has another theme. This year's theme was 'Punk : Chaos to Couture'.

BEAUTY | New Chanel face

Chanel revealed their new face for the beauty-campaigns : Diane Kruger.
She's an oldie (but goldie apparently) in the world of Chanel : in 1996 she was the face for the perfume 'Allure' and in 2007 she had another collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld.
